“It has been my privilege to be associated with Suryoday Trust and School. The commitment of the teachers and the trustees is truly commendable. We are amazed at the variety of activities that are organized for the children and the opportunities that is given to them to showcase their talents and the exposure given to familiarize the children with the real world around them. We look forward to the regular updates from the Trust and School. Keep up the good work, teachers and trustees of Suryoday Trust and School.”

“Suryoday school that specializes in providing education to children with intellectual disabilities has grown multiple folds over the past few years. Every year when I visit the school, the atmosphere is fantastic: the staff and the 40 children that are taken care of is excellent due to the warm and nurturing environment, a place where any child can flourish and reach his full potential…The small class size with Special Ed teachers and aides allow the children to get the focus and attention they deserve. The growth of the children along with the school is tremendous and inspiring!”

“I am very pleased to say that my association with Suryoday school has been excellent and I feel it is a privilege too. It gives me immense pleasure to share my thoughts about school and the trust as such. My appreciation for the excellent work Suryoday is carrying out in uplifting under-privileged children with intellectual disabilities by developing the overall personality through adequate education, life skill development and parent counselling. By providing life skill training to these needy and specially abled children, Suryoday is investing in a better future for India; since children are the future. I am honored to be a part of the organization in a small way and shall try to remain so. Keep up the good work! from NC, MD at ICAN Solutions.”
VOLUNTEER
“It was indeed a privilege to work with Suryoday Trust to capture the stories of the children in their care, in the form of short blogs. To view things from the outside, to merely make monetary donations once in a blue moon is a different thing; but to actually get involved at the ground level, in someone’s life is a different, much fulfilling experience. Speaking to the teachers at the Nalasopara school, has surely given me a whole new perspective about the struggles of special children. Hope my blogs are able to evoke, not sympathy, but rather empathy from whoever reads them.”

“It was really great to know about Suryoday Trust and its work in this domain. It was an exciting journey for me as this was my first experience learning more about the domain of disability and care. Thank you Aastha and Sundar Sir for having me over and I hope to stay in touch with the Suryoday Family.”
VOLUNTEER
“I got a chance to volunteer with Suryoday Trust virtually via Piramal Foundation. As a person who loves to volunteer this opportunity was a great experience. I not only got to work on my marketing skills but also learnt that that contribution does not only come with visits or in monetary terms. Sometimes, the simple idea of sharing time is all you need to help someone grow. I am simply over joyed with the idea of being a help to the trust. Thank you!”
TEACHER
“It is really a new experience to teach online and it is also quite interesting. It gives us new ideas on how to search worksheets online and also how to show new videos to students. It has been so wonderful learning new things for myself and my students.”
TEACHER
“It’s been a new experience for me and I have learnt a lot of new technologies. My students have also started operating their android phones and with each new session they are learning greatly and responding towards this nicely.”
TEACHER
“Through online teaching, I am able to teach the students effectively. I show videos of different topics to the students which helps them understand the topic in a better manner. Worksheets are given to the students during online class and students solve these under my guidance. Teaching the autistic students in the class itself is challenging. Instructing students online is more difficult but a different experience and I am trying my best to make all my students understand concepts during the online class.”
